As part of the Sound Health Challenge, I have signed up for the President’s Challenge and have been keeping track of my physical activity.  I am actually excited to see my progress on the website and follow my progress towards the 40,000 points that I need to get my bronze medal.

Because I also need to be more conscious of what I eat I have begun to keep track of my food on “My Fitness Pal” a free website that makes it easy to track your food.  I have found that this is an easy way to make sure you are staying within your calorie limits every day.  (I fight with this daily, especially at night!)

Of course, physical activity is just a part of the Sound Health Challenge.  There are activities for everyone including healthy habits like flossing your teeth to eating healthy foods (see my earlier post on the Mediterranean diet.)

I urge everyone to participate.  You will be glad you did!  Meanwhile, I will be keeping you up to date with my progress towards May 18th when the Sound Health Challenge forms are due to be tallied for awards and prizes.  Good Luck!
